About Michael Joseph

At an early age, Graduate Gemologist Michael Joseph developed a life-long passion for both gemstones and the natural world that have since guided his educational and career path choices. This interest in gemstones developed into an apprenticeship with an Italian jewelry designer. Under this tutelage, Michael Joseph learned the fine art of design, honed his skills and further, realized that he desired a more thorough knowledge of gemstones.

Michael Joseph continued his educational path at the world-renowned Gemological Institute of America (GIA), from which he obtained the degree of Graduate Gemologist. Upon graduating from GIA, Michael Joseph began his employment at Tiffany & Co. Employment at Tiffany & Co. allowed Michael to further expand his deep appreciation for quality gemstones, craftsmanship and the importance of excellent customer service.

Michael Joseph, G.G. currently divides his time between a small town in southern Vermont and the east end of Long Island. Since his departure from Tiffany & Co., Michael Joseph has worked to combine his love of nature with the knowledge gained from his life-long experience in the jewelry industry. He has attempted to forge the two together in every piece of jewelry created in his studio situated amidst the Green Mountains of Vermont.
